GenOn Energy Names James P. Garlick Senior Vice President of Plant Operations
(firmenpresse) - HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 07/18/11 -- GenOn Energy, Inc. (NYSE: GEN) announced today that James P. Garlick has been named Senior Vice President of Plant Operations. Garlick, the former senior executive of Mirant Corporation responsible for plant operations prior to Mirant's merger with RRI Energy, Inc. in December 2010 to form GenOn, will be responsible for all aspects of the operation of GenOn's 24,200 megawatt generation fleet. Garlick will report to Mark Jacobs, President and Chief Operating Officer.
Garlick replaces David Freysinger, who resigned to pursue other interests.
