Russell Global Indexes: MENA (Middle East North Africa) Index Reflects 7.5% Loss YTD Through July 15

(firmenpresse) - SEATTLE, WA -- (Marketwire) -- 07/19/11 -- The Russell MENA (Middle East North Africa) Index reflected a loss of 7.5% year-to-date, underperforming the Russell Global Index which gained 3.8% through July 15, 2011. While both indexes have posted negative returns month-to-date, the Russell MENA Index (-0.2%) performed slightly better than the Russell Global Index (-1.1%) through July 15, 2011.

For the second quarter of 2011, the Russell MENA Index and the Russell Global Index have posted relatively flat returns of -0.2% and 0.3% respectively.





The Russell Global Index includes more than 10,000 securities in 48 countries and covers 98% of the investable global market. All securities in the index are classified according to size, region, country and sector. Daily Returns for the main components are available here:
