Catherine M. Roozen Appointed to Board of Directors, EPCOR Utilities Inc.
(firmenpresse) - EDMONTON, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 12/03/14 -- EPCOR Utilities Inc. (EPCOR) is pleased to announce that Catherine M. Roozen has been appointed to its Board of Directors effective November 7, 2014.

She is a widely recognized and respected leader, whose voice and business acumen has helped to shape the corporate landscape in Alberta," said EPCOR Board Chair Hugh J. Bolton. "Beyond this, through her leadership, the Allard Foundation has positively and significantly impacted key areas such as health care, education, social well-being and the arts."
Mrs. Roozen is Chair and Secretary of Cathton Investments Ltd., a position she has held since 2009 after serving as Vice President. She joined Cathton Holdings Ltd., a private investment company with interests in banking broadcasting, ranching and real estate development, in 1981. Mrs. Roozen is also Director and Secretary of the Allard Foundation.
In addition, Mrs. Roozen currently serves on the Board of Directors of both Melcor Developments Ltd. and Corus Entertainment Inc. Over the years, she has contributed to numerous corporate and community boards, including Alberta Health Services, the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute, and the University of Alberta Board of Governors.
Mrs. Roozen graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1977, receiving an Honourary Doctor of Laws in 2009. Through her career, she has earned numerous distinctions including the Alberta Order of Excellence, the Queen Elizabeth ll Diamond Jubilee Medal, and the Alberta Award of Excellence.
