(firmenpresse) - SALT LAKE CITY, UT -- (Marketwire) -- 07/19/11 -- On July 1, 2011, the University of Utah Medical School received a $600,000 grant from the Department of Defense to investigate the clinical benefits of "Mind-Body Bridging," a treatment protocol developed by Stanley H. Block, M.D., author of "Come to Your Senses: Demystifying the Mind-Body Connection" by Atria/ Beyond Words PublishingIn addition to transforming lives, Mind-Body Bridging has shown promising results with both stress-related and physical symptoms that plague combat veterans from the Gulf War to present conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"The fact that the government is willing to financially support the further development of mind-body bridging is a huge vote of confidence for our treatment method which we've seen -- through clinical research -- as significantly effective in treating PTSD symptoms among combat veterans," said Block.

Mind-Body Bridging is the method employed in Dr. Stanley Block's "Come to Your Senses: Demystifying the Mind-Body Connection," which offers a 10-day program for transforming your life. Through easy daily exercises, the Mind-Body Bridging method helps regulate what brain researchers call the default mode network and activate the executive network, the healthiest and most productive state of brain functioning.

When the executive network is active, our mind and body heal as efficiently and quickly as possible. In this state, we feel connected to ourselves, others, the environment and our inner source of wellness. We feel confident, grounded, and equipped to handle any situation we encounter without anxiety, worry, inner conflict, helplessness or any other debilitating state. Our mind is clear and our body is relaxed and responsive.
