Wind Minds: Joint Venture for Offshore Wind Farm Developments
BBB Umwelttechnik GmbH (BBB) joins forces with three experienced international partners
(PresseBox) - The newly founded engineering consultancy Wind Minds is a joint venture of four consulting firms with partially more than 20 years of experience and specialization in the offshore sector. With combined forces the engineering specialists are now able to support customers comprehensively in the development of offshore wind energy projects.
For the foundation of Wind Minds BBB and ep4 offshore from Germany joint with the Dutch companies MECAL and Pondera Consult as venture partners, thus creating a pool of about 100 wind energy specialists. Drawing from this reservoir, teams can be built according to the requirements of the respective assignment.
In the past years the partners have already co-operated successfully, especially in technical due diligences performed on larger offshore wind energy projects, like Gwynt y Môr or Dan Tysk wind farms. Now their services are marketed under the joint label Wind Minds.
However, the scope of services now offered goes far beyond the assistance in M&A activities: Wind Minds offers advice and practical assistance in the entire area of offshore project planning and realisation, including i.e. environmental impact studies, foundation design, electrical engineering, procurement management, logistics, constructional implementation and asset management services.
Further information on the services provided by Wind Minds is presented on the newly launched web site at www.windminds.com. At the coming EWEA Offshore Conference, taking place from 10 to 12 March 2015 in Copenhagen, Wind Minds will be represented at booth C3-C27.

BBB Umwelttechnik is accredited for the elaboration of bankable wind and yield assessment reports and the execution of high-quality wind measurements (ISO/IEC17025:2005).
