In particular, the complaint alleges that the Company issued statements suggesting that the Company would maintain its dividend until at least the end of 2015, but then on November 26, 2014, the Company disclosed it would indefinitely suspend its dividend, citing Seadrill's need to pay down its debt to strengthen its balance sheet.
