KLAS Report Recognizes BI and Analytics Provider for Innovation, Enterprise-Wide BI Use

KLAS, a research firm specializing in monitoring and analyzing healthcare vendor performance, surveyed nearly 500 healthcare providers and rated eight BI and analytics vendors according to metrics that place the greatest value on the customer experience.
Healthcare organizations are grappling with data challenges as they deal with both new streams of data and uncertainty caused by integration, accountable care, and security and privacy, among other industry issues. The KLAS report studied vendors' capabilities in both broad-use BI and focused analytics to meet these challenges, and found that Information Builders had common to high enterprise use of its solution across multiple areas of the business. The company's WebFOCUS BI and analytics platform outpaced several major competitors in ease-of-use ratings, and some respondents also stated they value Information Builders' innovation in mobile BI and self-service BI to further enhance its solution stack.
The survey revealed Information Builders is among the leaders in facilitating clinical analytics, one of the most prominent areas of need for healthcare providers. KLAS mentions the company's enterprise master data application suite as an example of a "big-bang approach" in which vendors are developing complete solutions for healthcare analytics with an emphasis on predictive analytics and data discovery capabilities. The need for data management in healthcare has drawn more providers to consider Information Builders' Omni-Patient product, according to the report.
