2015 Rocky Mountain Early Childhood Conference Set for April 17-18 at Colorado Convention Center

(firmenpresse) - DENVER, CO -- (Marketwired) -- 01/21/15 -- Teachers, practitioners and advocates are invited to learn, share and connect during the (RMECC 2015) April 17-18 at the Colorado Convention Center. Now in its fourth year, this regional conference focuses on the many facets of early childhood education by providing hundreds of workshops and exhibitors, top-notch keynote speakers, and outstanding networking opportunities. Online registration is open at , with early-bird discounts available until March 16.

The confluence of science, research, and common sense shows that early childhood education has a positive impact on our economy, workforce, schools, and communities. The agenda for this year's conference incorporates 16 professional development tracks and an interesting, informative array of workshops. Topics will include administration/management, assessment, child care health consultation, child development/curriculum, child health/well-being, coaching, Colorado Department of Human Services - Office of Early Childhood, family support, inclusion/cultural competency, infant and early childhood mental health, kindergarten, leadership, literacy/writing, policy/advocacy, Spanish, and STEM (science/technology/engineering/math). RMECC 2015 is designed to meet the professional development needs of early childhood practitioners while at the same time providing a forum for community advocates. A collaborative initiative of the Colorado Association for the Education of Young Children (CAEYC), the Denver Preschool Program (DPP), and the Early Childhood Education Association of Colorado, the event aims to support and solidify the growing understanding of the importance of investing in our youngest children by providing a regional platform for attendees to hear and learn from a broad range of thought leaders and experts representing the wide variety of fields that impact early care and education. By attending both days of RMECC 2015, it is possible to earn more than 12 clock hours of valuable training in the field of education based on workshop participation and keynote address attendance.
