CPI to Induct 47 Into Hall of Merit

(firmenpresse) - MILWAUKEE, WI -- (Marketwire) -- 07/21/11 -- CPI is proud to announce that 47 will be inducted into the CPI Hall of Merit. The Instructors will be recognized for their extraordinary commitment to a continuous Training Process that promotes Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security(SM) for those they serve.
The 2011 Hall of Merit selection process included a review of the records of over 26,000 active Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® Certified Instructors. Selection criteria included the number of staff trained, the total hours spent training, the number of training programs taught, the number of CPI training programs attended, and the number of years as a Certified Instructor. As Meritorious Instructors, these individuals will serve in an advisory capacity and provide CPI leadership with valuable guidance to help influence the direction of CPI's Instructor Association.
"We rely on these leaders, within their organizations and across their professions, to provide real-world practice-based evidence regarding the effectiveness of our trainings," said Judith Schubert, CPI's president. "They continue to validate the powerful impact of training as a vehicle for positively changing the quality of care with those they support."
The inductees will include many Instructors who have been certified to deliver the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® training program for more than 20 years. Those honored will include Instructors from 19 different US states and five Canadian provinces. Instructors from the United Kingdom and New Zealand will also be recognized. A plaque with each Meritorious Instructor's name will be prominently displayed on the Hall of Merit at CPI international headquarters in Milwaukee, WI.
The 47 Meritorious Instructors will be inducted July 21, 2011 at a special awards reception and dinner during the 2011 CPI International Instructors' Conference held in Orlando, FL.
