Changed Number of Shares and Votes in SEMAFO

In January, the number of shares in SEMAFO increased by 244,722 common shares, corresponding to 244,722 votes. The increase in the number of shares and votes results from a share issue related to the recently announced credit facility in addition to the exercise of options.

As of January 30, 2015, the total number of shares in the Corporation amounts to 277,963,394 and the total number of votes totals 277,963,394. The Corporation's share capital as of January 30, 2015 amounts to approximately SEK 7,455,829,952.

The above information has been made public in accordance with the Swedish Financial Instruments Trading Act.
