This second volume of his 7 inch 45 rpm vinyl + CD Box project entitled "Pop em pedaço" (Piece by piece pop) arrives with a "Tropicália" touch: the featured appearance of iconic singer-songwriter Jorge Mautner, whose voice and violin helped the Brazilian "Tropicália" movement to spread its sound around the world. After achieving Top 30 airplay results on US college radio and winning 2 Honorable Mentions in a row (from Billboard World Song Contest Award and The John Lennon Songwriting contest), Roney Giah releases his 8th studio album with a sonority that Jorge Mautner describes as "sensual pop amalgam".
Electronic programming dialoguing with the sounds of a real Hammond, Roney Giah's vocals and jazzy guitars and a full horn session, "Pop em pedaço vol. 02" is a natural continuation of the indie Brazilian pop style that Giah's been pursuing in his last albums.
