Liberty Tax Service Offices Offer Free State Tax Return Preparation to TurboTax Customers Unable to File State Returns

Liberty Tax Service today announced that it will offer free state tax return preparation in participating offices throughout the United States to any TurboTax customer unable to file his or her state return using TurboTax online software. Taxpayers are urged to go to to find the office nearest them.

Additionally, in light of the recent headlines regarding identity theft associated with online tax preparation, Liberty Tax Service reminds taxpayers that in-office, face-to-face interaction is the most secure way to prepare tax returns. There are procedures required to be performed in tax offices that are not available for online tax filings, such as checking photo identification.
