FNE Finland upgrades to 100G using Transmode

Stockholm, Sweden - 12th February 2015 - Transmode, a global supplier of packet-
optical networking solutions, today announced that FNE-Finland Oy will expand
its network with Transmode's Metro 100G solution.
FNE-Finland Oy is a leading alternative backbone capacity provider founded by a
group of local telecommunications companies to provide a common network for the
group across Finland. It has since grown and now sells capacity to a broad range
of customers. The new 100G deployments were designed to handle the increased
capacity needed specifically for a datacenter customer but also allow multiple
new services to be offered to a range of customers.
Transmode was already an existing infrastructure vendor for FNE-Finland's
network and the Metro 100G solution was the most economical and technically the
most reliable option for FNE-Finland Oy. The new capacity will be installed
during Q1 2015 and will use Transmode's new Metro/Regional 100G solution based
on all-pluggable optics and support the latest coherent CFP technology.
