Kesko's sales in January 2015
Kesko Group's sales, excluding VAT, in January 2015 totalled ?653.4 million,
down 7.2%. The number of wholesale selling days was one less than in the
previous year. Sales development in foreign operations was positive in terms of
local currencies.
In Kesko's grocery trade, sales in January were ?349.8 million, a decrease of
5.6% from the previous year. The number of delivery days was one less than in
the previous year.
In the home improvement and speciality goods trade, sales in January were ?213.1
million, a decrease of 8.9%. In terms of local currencies, sales decreased by
3.4%. Sales in Finland decreased by 9.8%. In Finland, sales in the building and
home improvement trade decreased by 11.4% and sales in the speciality goods
trade decreased by 8.2%. Sales of Intersport increased clearly in Finland. Sales
abroad increased by 5.7% in local currencies, but decreased by 7.6% in euros.
In the car and machinery trade, sales in January were ?91.8 million, a decrease
of 8.7%. VV-Auto's sales were ?76.6 million, down 11.7%. Konekesko's sales were
?15.2 million, an increase of 9.8% from the previous year.

In January 2015, the number of selling days in Kesko's wholesale in Finland was
20, which was one less than in the previous year. The number of retail selling
days in January was 29, which was the same as in the previous year.
