Ellsworth Growth and Income Fund Ltd. is a diversified, closed-end investment company. The Fund's investment objective is to maximize total return over time through a combination of current income and capital growth, while taking on less than commensurate risk. This traditional closed-end fund seeks to achieve its objective by investing in a diversified portfolio primarily consisting of income producing equity securities, such as convertible bonds and preferreds, and dividend paying common shares.
