TraceLink Announces Educational Webinar Series for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Facing US DSCSA Serialization Requirements

ID: 372043

(firmenpresse) - WAKEFIELD, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 02/17/15 -- , the leader in protecting patient safety and enabling health for global Life Sciences, today announced that it will hold a series of educational webinars in February, March and April 2015 for pharmaceutical manufacturers who are seeking to better understand how and when they should begin to budget, plan and implement serialization solutions to meet upcoming deadlines under the U.S. Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA).

The first webinar in the series, will be held on Wednesday February 18 at 11:00AM EST. The live session will provide drug manufacturers, contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs), contract packaging organizations (CPOs), and repackagers with an overview of US DSCSA serialization requirements; global serialization regulations impacting US serialization planning; key learnings from TraceLink serialization projects; and a roadmap that underscores the 24-month lead time needed for a successful serialization implementation.

"When we discuss DSCSA serialization requirements with pharmaceutical manufacturers, we're learning that few have a clear picture of what's actually required for a successful implementation. Companies may believe that they don't need to take action now, but the truth is that if planning doesn't start in 2015, many will be at risk of meeting 2017 deadlines," said Shabbir Dahod, president and CEO of TraceLink. "TraceLink has already helped a range of forward-thinking pharmaceutical manufacturers move beyond the first lot-level phase of DSCSA to help them address serialization requirements. This three-month webinar series is designed to share our insight and knowledge, and to equip every manufacturer with the information they need to understand how the decisions they make now to proceed or delay will impact their ability achieve serialization compliance by 2017."

Following the February 18 webinar, TraceLink will hold its second DSCSA serialization event in March, where the company will showcase a serialization case study, including actual planning and implementation insights from a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer. The third and final webinar in the series will take place in April and examine serialization implementation challenges related specifically to CMOs and CPOs. Pharmaceutical manufacturers interested in attending the February 18 event can sign up by visiting the registration page on the TraceLink website.
