This announcement follows on the heels of last month's news that Customs and Border patrol (CBP) had officially activated RK's Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) facility, also in Fremont, CA. Altogether, RK Group manages inventory in about half a million square feet in six facilities throughout Livermore and Fremont, CA.
RK is a third party logistics (3PL) provider, supporting the manufacturing operations of some of world's most respected high tech, semiconductor and automotive companies. Services range from daily pickup and delivery of components, materials and product to and from campuses throughout Silicon Valley, to airport recovery of parts inbound from Asia and clean-room unpack and repack, to flex labor services for kitting, sequencing and testing, either in dedicated or multi-client facilities to ensure optimal handling to spec.
The newest facility addition caters to the needs of another fast growing customer segment for the company: high value medical devices and diagnostic instrumentation.
