Antonio Panini founded the company in Torino, Italy in 1945. For the next 70 years, Panini enabled clients to capitalize on shifts in the global payments processing market. In 1995, with a leadership position established in Europe, Antonio's son Ugo undertook the next major expansion of the company by establishing Panini's direct presence in the US market, creating Panini North America with its main office in Dayton, Ohio.
