Statement by Minister Glover on the 2015 Canadian Screen Awards
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 03/01/15 -- Whether watching on the big screen in the movie theatre or on the smaller screen of a mobile device, I am always proud to see such a wide range of exceptional Canadian content available. Tonight's Canadian Screen Awards only reinforced that feeling of pride.
Earlier tonight, the 2015 Canadian Screen Awards celebrated our talented creators whose passion and hard work contribute to Canada's well established reputation in film, television and digital media.
Our Government supports the audiovisual sector by investing more than $660 million annually through Telefilm Canada, the National Film Board, the Canada Media Fund and tax credit programs.
On behalf of the Government of Canada, I congratulate all of the 2015 Canadian Screen Awards nominees and winners. I applaud the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television for its ongoing efforts to shine a spotlight on our dedicated artists.
