GHENT, Belgium, 3 March 2015 - Ablynx [Euronext Brussels: ABLX] today announced,
in accordance with Article 14 of the Belgian Law of 2 May 2007 regarding the
publication of major shareholdings in issuers whose securities are admitted to
trading on a regulated market (the "Transparency Law"), that it received a
notification of shareholdings from Aviva plc and Aviva Investors Global Services
Limited.

The above shareholders notified that they have exceeded the 5% threshold and now
hold 2,714,836 Ablynx shares (as compared to a 3.04% holding on 30 October
2013), which represent 5.02% of the current 54,130,105 outstanding shares of
Ablynx.

The voting rights are managed and controlled by Aviva Investors Global Services
Limited, with the following chain of controlled undertakings: Aviva plc (Parent
Company), Aviva Group Holdings Limited (wholly owned subsidiary of Aviva plc),
Aviva Investors Holdings Limited (wholly owned subsidiary of Aviva Group
Holdings Limited), Aviva Investors Global Services Limited (wholly owned
subsidiary of Aviva Investors Holdings Limited).
