AgriMinco Announces Resignation of the CEO and Director and Appointment of New CEO
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 03/09/15 -- AgriMinco Corp. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: ANO) announces the resignation of Johan Slabber as CEO and from the board of directors (the "Board"), and the appointment of Bruce Cumming as Chief Executive Officer, both effective immediately. Mr. Slabber has resigned to pursue other business interests.
Commenting on these changes, George Roach noted that Bruce Cumming has served as CEO in the past and this will provide continuity going forward. His focus will be on dealing with the issues that continue to delay re-admission of the Company to trading and mobilising the remaining liquid assets in the company such that they are preserved and offer prospects of a near-term return.
Bruce Cumming graduated from the University of Cape Town with a B.Sc (Hons.) degree in 1975 and has worked in various exploration capacities in diverse African countries for 39years. He is a SACNASP registered geoscientist and is a member of the Geological Society of South Africa. The initial 26 years work experience was spent with the Falconbridge Limited group companies through Southern and West Africa exploring for a nickel, copper, gold, diamonds and uranium. Further work experience was gained in the Bushveld Igneous Complex, Zambian Copper Belt and Sierra Leone. He was the Chief Operating Officer for G&B Group of companies between 2007 and 2012 and was instrumental in generating many of the Group's exploration projects, including the Danakil Potash project. He has also served as VP Operations and as a Director of the Ethiopian Potash Corporation (now AgriMinco), on the board of AgriMinco and as the CEO. He also served as the Q.P. and Technical Director of Premier African Minerals Ltd.
