Four Fellows Will Be Selected to Attend NANOG 64, June 1-3, 2015 in San Francisco, CA
(firmenpresse) - FREMONT, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 03/16/15 -- The today announces it is now accepting applications for two offered for , hosted by . NANOG 64 will take place at the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco June 1-3, 2015. The application process is open through May 8, 2015.
NANOG offers two awards for each Fellowship option: the and . The Abha Ahuja Fellowship provides financial support to attend NANOG for a female individual (awardee) who is a high school graduate, or currently enrolled student in courses leading to a baccalaureate or graduate degree at a college or university, or recently graduated student in North America. The Operator of Tomorrow Fellowship aims to broaden the NANOG educational outreach in the community and bring new ideas into the public discussions by awarding a high school graduate, or currently enrolled student in courses leading to a baccalaureate or graduate degree at a college or university, or recently graduated student in North America to attend one NANOG meeting. Priority will be given to applicants who will be attending their first NANOG meeting.
NANOG64 applicants will be considered if they meet the following criteria:
- Applicant must be physically residing in the North American Region served by NANOG
- Applicant has not received a NANOG Fellowship in the current calendar year
- Applicant has not attended a NANOG meeting in the past five years
- Application must be signed and follow the guidelines within the NANOG Fellowship Terms and Conditions
"Individuals selected into the Fellowship program will receive free registration to NANOG 64, including round-trip economy class airfare, hotel accommodations and a small stipend to cover meals and incidental travel expenses," comments Betty Burke, Executive Director of NANOG. "All of the candidates must be in the North American Region and they must have also completed the Fellowship program application in full and submitted it in order to be eligible."
Applicants must present a case for attending a NANOG meeting that includes what they intend to accomplish or get out of attending a meeting; how attending a meeting will help them in their work or study; and how they intend to apply their NANOG experience when they return home.
