The event is part of an ongoing "Food and Finance" series serving up free finance education to the community along with food -- in this case breakfast with coffee and fruit juice.
Steve Prouty, Vice President and Relationship Manager of Scott Valley Bank, will host the breakfast discussion. Other presenters will be Jim Bell, CFP®, President and Founder, and Forrest Bell, CFP®, Senior Investment Advisor and Financial Planner, both of Bell Investment Advisors. The discussion will focus on breaking down succession planning into manageable steps that business owners can put into practice.
Jim Bell has said, "This presentation will help business owners begin the process for their own succession planning; and it will help those who are already mid-stream to improve their thinking and planning with examples of overcoming challenges and conflicts. Procrastinating is not the answer."
The discussion will be beneficial for business owners who may have been putting off the daunting task of succession planning. The Bell and Scott Valley Bank panel will drill into the important differences between management succession and ownership succession.
