Crowdfunding for "Journey Home" - take part in designing a new strategy video game

(PresseBox) - Empire-building strategy games are among the most popular video games around the world - "The Settlers" and "Anno" are probably the most common. However, new games of the genre are rare. A team of developers who partly worked on "The Settlers 7" is now developing a new empire-building strategy game that has already managed to attain position 40 on Steam Greenlight. Gamers who like building new worlds can help in the development of "Journey Home" on the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform.
In "Journey Home", the player is stranded in a fascinating world of islands to be conquered. While accompanying Sarah and her family on the search for a way back home, the player leads his people in expanding his community's economy in a journey full of adventures and quests. In addition to the single player mode, objects, etc. can also be exchanged among the players.
"We also like playing strategy games a lot. Two years ago, we realized that there hadn't been anything new for a long time. This is how the idea behind Journey Home came about", says Felix Kollmann, a developer of "Journey Home". The enhancements in the pre-development phase include new ideas and technologies. The result is a complex building and production system in a fantastic world. "Now we need the help of the gaming community in order to make Journey Home a reality." A total of 150,000 ? will be needed.
"Journey Home" is now among the top 50 recently developed computer games on Steam Greenlight. On a weekly video log, the developers get to answer questions from the gaming community as well as exclusively report on the project's progress. "Journey Home" should be available as a Beta version for Windows, OS X, and Linux by the end of 2016, and the final release should be expected in 2017.
