It stands for health, well-being and attractiveness. In ad-vertising, we mostly find immaculate faces. For many people, this is only a dream, because more and more adolescents and young adults are suffer-ing from acne. The self-esteem of these persons can be influenced nega-tively.
Acne as a result of hormone overproduction
Young people often have acne due to hormonal changes. By an in-creased production of hormones the sebaceous glands ducts become clogged. Blackheads develop under the skin near of the sebaceous glands. The acne bacteria propioni that lives in the sebaceous glands will find ideal conditions. It feeds of sebum and produces substances that lead to the inflammation with red painful nodules and pustules. The face, back, shoulders and décolleté are mainly affected from the typical acne cysts. Pimples and pustules should not be expressed because it can lead to further inflammation or scarring.
Other triggers for acne
External factors may clog the ducts of the sebaceous glands and lead to an increased sebum production. This can be, for example oils and fats in skin care products. Drugs or mechanical stimuli can also lead to the for-mation of pustules. Regarding acne the blood sugar plays a very im-portant role. He is responsible for the balance of hormones. With the in-crease of the blood sugar level the production of hormones raise due to the insulin stimulus. This in turn increases the production of sebum, and forms pimples. Therefore carbohydrates and sugar can lead to acne. If kidney, liver and intestine are overloaded acne can also appear. Then the body forwards the waste and toxins through the skin, which is the largest organ of detoxification.
CleanLite of DAVITA® - gentle and effective against acne
Various treatments such as creams and medications on a hormonal or antibiotic base can be partially associated with significant side effects.
Light therapy devices CleanLite CL 70 and CL 110 of DAVITA® with red and blue light are an effective alternative or supplement to conventional treatment methods. Light therapy can work gently without chemicals and without harmful side effects. With regular use of the device the skin can become clean, nice and smooth again. The blue light can stimulate the formation of oxygen in the clogged skin pores and cause the death of the propioni bacterium which is responsible for acne vulgaris. It has a clean-ing effect. With the red light the tissue can be relaxed and the blood cir-culation can be stimulated. Inflammation can fade away faster and the skin is then able to regenerate. The effect of the light therapy devices CL 70 and CL 110 can be particularly positive because special lamps with integrated blue and red fluorescent tubes are used. The devices have a large luminous area and are therefore suited very well for the treatment of the face, back and chest. The high-quality devices have a modern design and are easy and safe to use. A special filter protects against UV compo-nents in the light.
The economical CleanLite CL 70 is ideal for the use at home. The more powerful Clean Lite CL 110 is particularly used in the doctor’s surgery and clinics. If smaller areas of the body are affected by acne, the light therapy device BeautyLite BL 100 can also be used successfully. It is a hand-held device in a beauty case with a mirror. The device operates with LEDs. It can be set blue, red and yellow light, as well as combinations of these colors. The device is also suitable for anti-aging application.
