2015 ND STEM Strategies Conference to Link Education and Workforce Expectations
Second Annual Event Encourages Tech Integration and Creative Thinking in North Dakota K-12 Classrooms
(firmenpresse) - WEST FARGO, ND -- (Marketwired) -- 03/26/15 -- In today's globally-competitive job market, science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) are considered valuable 21st century skills for any member of the workforce -- especially students preparing to meet the demands of tomorrow. To encourage advancements in STEM education throughout the region, The will host the second annual ND STEM Strategies Conference from April 16-18, 2015 at the Cambria Suites & Conference Center in West Fargo, N.D.
Leading STEM experts, business and government leaders, educators, students, entrepreneurs and other innovators are encouraged to attend. Attendees will participate in hands-on workshops, break out groups and presentations to learn the importance of STEM in building a productive and competitive workforce. The conference will also include variety of opportunities to integrate STEM and the arts.
"We are fortunate to bring the nation's most recognized experts and leaders in STEM education and community development," said Ryan Aasheim, Program Manager of ND STEM Network. "From hands-on workshops to sessions that explore rural strategies and career opportunities in information technology and agriculture, there is something for everyone."
Co-organizers of the conference include the Great Plains STEM Education at Valley City State University, Bismarck Public Schools Career Academy, North Dakota Career and Technical Education, the North Dakota Council on the Arts, North Dakota State University, and North Dakota State College of Science.
Registration is $75. Sponsorships are also available at the premier ($1,000), supporter ($750) and exhibitor levels ($500). All levels offer varying degrees of exposure, including acknowledgement in advertising, conference materials during sessions of the conference; promotional opportunities at the conference; and an exhibit booth.
