Kansas Department of Administration Selects Mobile Inventory and Surplus Management Software Solutions from AssetWorks
State and Federal Surplus modules to help the State of Kansas streamline many aspects of their Surplus Property Program

Utilizing these solutions, the State of Kansas Office of Surplus Property can help to ensure the equitable and appropriate redistribution, sale, and use of state and federal property.

The State of Kansas can leverage SMS along with Scan & Validate to automate everything from warehouse and inventory management to asset sales, donations, and reporting. The Federal Surplus module includes over 30 standard reports and provides comprehensive functionality for the GSA Surplus Property Program, as well as the 1122 program. By interfacing to GSAXcess, SMS automatically transfers data for allocated federal property. The fully integrated solution can help Kansas save time and improve accuracy by minimizing data re-entry, providing seamless access to data and maximizing transaction efficiency.
As part of the Kansas Department of Administration, the Kansas State and Federal Surplus Property programs acquire and redistribute State and Federal surplus property to state agencies, local governments, educational institutions and other eligible organizations. The division currently manages requests for over 10,000 items per year.
