Putzmeister solutions at INTERMAT 2015
(PresseBox) - At INTERMAT 2015, Putzmeister is once again presenting new machines and technologies that speak for themselves thanks to cost-saving solutions and top-quality standards. As well as exhibiting the new generation M 38-5 machine, the new P 9 UL truck mixer will also be at the centre of attention. The P 9 UL is remarkable for its optimum comfort, durability and an ultralight design made possible by using Hardox steel.
The 38-5 stands out with its innovative design for weight reserves and sustainability
Putzmeister's newly designed 38-5 raises the bar in terms of the weight, operation, safety and efficiency of concrete pumps. It weighs less than 26 tonnes including sufficient reserves for payload, water, fuel and other operating materials. Thanks to the standards in force being taken fully into consideration, e.g. EN 12001:2012, operators are on the right side of the law with the 38-5.
Highlights of the 38-5 include the following features:
- A gross weight of less than 26 t incl. sufficient reserves for payload and operating materials
- Smooth placing boom thanks to intelligent laying of the delivery line and the harmonious development of the steel structure
- Efficient work thanks to carefully thought-out ergonomic design
- Even better safety thanks to closer consideration of the applicable standards and guidelines
- Service-friendly thanks to its optimised accessibility and consistent screw concept
- Lower service costs thanks to maintenance-free components, fewer different components (e.g. only three standard delivery line bends) and lower volumes of operating materials (oil volume reduced by 30%)
The new P 9 UL truck mixer makes light work of transporting concrete
The crucial factor for success when you use the new Putzmeister truck mixer lies in its low unladen weight. This is because any reduction in weight means a higher working load and lower costs for fuel, tyres, fees and taxes. However, a particularly long service life is also crucial. This is taken care of thanks to the excellent properties of Hardox when it comes to wear, resilience, strength and hardness.
The P 9 UL is distinguished by the following advanced features:
- 3350 kg body weight and thus a weight saving of 20% in comparison with standard truck mixers
- Low consumption and operating costs thanks to components made from Hardox steel and fixtures made from aluminium
- Optimised drum geometry with a low centre of gravity, minimal construction height and a double drip-down ring
- Enlarged platform with ergonomically shaped railing provides optimum knee protection against spray
- Large manhole with a diameter of 580 mm for easy inspection and cleaning
- 1.45 m discharge chute for ease of access to the pump and crane bucket
- Closed mixer frame made of S500 steel
- Underride protection with step encourages ergonomic work
- Closed rear as far as the truck chassis reduces contamination
- Integrated storage compartment for safe storage outside of the driver's cab
