Top Calgary Restaurants to Compete for Best Burger Title During Alberta Burger Fest May 1-10 2015!
Local restaurants are competing for the title of best burger and supporting 5 local charities including: Kids Up Front Calgary, Kids Cancer Care, Ronald McDonald House, Bullying Ends Here and Missing Children's Society of Canada!
(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/08/15 -- ATB Agriculture presents Alberta Burger Fest! 30 locally owned Calgary restaurants will compete for the BEST burger title in three categories including: the $10, the $15 and the $25 price points. Five additional restaurants will complete in the special feature $50 price point! That's right, a $50 burger!
Portion of the proceeds from Alberta Burger Fest in Calgary will go towards five outstanding children's charities. The Alberta Burger Fest committee said: "It is inspiring to see the outpouring of support for the charities last year; we look forward to gaining even more support and more dollars for Calgary kids this year". "We really try to make a difference in the Calgary community, and to see this kind of enthusiasm from participants, restaurant partners, and local celebrities, reinforces that the community is happy with the work we all of these charities and Burger Fest are doing."
All signature burgers will be unveiled at the Alberta Burger Fest Sneak Peak event on April 27th, details coming soon! This year, Alberta Burger Fest has expanded province wide including: Edmonton, Bow Valley and Southern Alberta which will all host their own competitions throughout the month of May.
About Alberta Burger Fest
Alberta Burger Fest was founded in 2012(formerly YYC Burger Week) to provide local restaurants with the opportunity to win the best burger title in their chosen category and support great charities. It is also a chance for the public to support local restaurateurs and local ingredients. The rules have changed as well: There are now four categories, the $10, the $15 the $25 and the feature $50! 10% of the sale of their burger will go towards the assigned charity of their category.
The public will vote again for their favorite burgers, but there will be THREE winners, one for each category, plus an additional award for the Most Generous restaurant.
