(firmenpresse) - BEDMINSTER, NJ -- (Marketwired) -- 04/13/15 -- Peapack-Gladstone Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: PGC) and Peapack-Gladstone Bank announce the appointment of Lisa Chalkan to the position of Senior Vice President, Chief Credit Officer.
Lisa brings a record of distinguished and exceptional leadership in all aspects of credit administration and underwriting and managing policies and procedures, in a dynamic environment, to Peapack-Gladstone Bank. She will direct the Bank's credit professionals and quality assurance teams to efficiently manage the high growth of the Bank's loan originations and implement a robust program to ensure continued high asset quality.
Ms. Chalkan brings 29 years of financial services experience, with a concentration in risk management, credit administration and underwriting. Most recently, at Capital One N.A., she served in key roles as Senior Vice President, Head of Commercial Credit Policy; Director of Loan Administration/Commercial Banking; and Manager of Middle Market Underwriting where she was responsible for defining the credit parameters and authorities for commercial business and the build-out of a centralized credit administration team.
Prior to her tenure at Capital One, Lisa held key positions at Fleet Boston Financial/Bank of America, and HSBC Bank USA/HSBC Securities, Inc. as Vice President, Underwriting Manager, in Small Business Services and Risk Review Field Manager, respectively.
A resident of Lincoln Park, New Jersey, Ms. Chalkan holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Rutgers University. She is proficient in Spanish and earned a Certificate with Honors from the National Commercial Lending School. Lisa is a key contributor to the Board of Trustees of the Union County Economic Development Corporation, serving as Secretary of the Board, and past honoree as a Woman of Influence in Finance by the Women's Fund of New Jersey.
