All K-Group chains to have one loadable gift card
The K-Group has launched a new loadable gift card. The gift card can be
purchased and it can be used as payment in all of Kesko's chain stores. The gift
card balance decreases as it is used and it is valid for two years.
" We want to offer our customers an easy gift idea in the form of a modern gift
card, which allows the recipient to use one gift card to choose a present from
any K-Group chain store," says Eija Jantunen, Vice President for Finance and
Accounting Services.
The recipient has plenty to choose from as the K-Group gift card can be
purchased and used as payment in the stores of eleven different chains, which
include K-citymarket, K-supermarket, K-market (excluding K-market service
station stores), Intersport, Budget Sport, Kookenkä, K-rauta, K-maatalous,
Rautia, Asko and Sotka. The gift cards are available with a chain look design or
a uniform K-Group design.
"Despite the varied appearance of the cards, they are valid in all of the
chains. So, the Intersport gift card can be used to buy groceries or interior
decoration items, for example," says Development Manager Juha Andelin.
The customer chooses an amount between 10 - 500 euros, which is then loaded on
the card at the checkout.
"The gift cards have been positively received by customers and the demand has
been high," says Andelin.
The successful implementation of the gift card service was carried out in
cooperation with Solteq, and it is part of the electronic services produced by
Solteq for Kesko. The cooperation aims to support Kesko's strategy and to
strengthen multi-channel consumer services.
