JDSU Signs Exclusive Distribution Agreement With Laser 2000
Expands Distribution of JDSU kW Class Fiber Laser Solutions and Direct Diode Systems Across Europe
(firmenpresse) - MILPITAS, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/21/15 -- JDSU (NASDAQ: JDSU) today announced that it has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with GmbH, a optical solutions provider of almost 30 years, based in Munich, Germany, to provide its kW class fiber laser and kW class direct-diode laser products throughout Europe.
As part of the agreement, Laser 2000 can now offer JDSU kW class laser systems that JDSU jointly developed with , a leading manufacturer of machine tools for metal cutting. Solutions include a range of new kW class fiber laser and direct diode products that JDSU recently announced related to its platform. Applications include cutting and welding of metals including mild steel, aluminum, titanium, brass, copper and more. Various material deposition applications such as 3d printing are possible.
