Morumbi Announces Appointment of New Director
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 04/21/15 -- Morumbi Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: MOC) ("Morumbi" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has appointed Mr. Stephen Shefsky as a director of the Company. Mr. Shefsky had previously served as a director and Vice-Chairman of the Company until November 2013 when he resigned for personal reasons.
Mr. Shefsky has extensive experience in developing and financing companies in the extractive industries. Mr. Shefsky is President & CEO of James Bay Resources, an emerging E&P company with a focus on acquisition and development of oil and gas assets in the prolific Delta region of Nigeria. Previously, he co-founded Brasoil do Brasil Exploracao Petrolifera S.A., a private oil and gas producing and exploration company that has operating in Brazil since 2006. Mr. Shefsky has also been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cancap Investments Limited, a private merchant bank providing venture capital and project financing for private and public companies, since 1985. From 1996 to August 2007, Mr. Shefsky held the positions of the President and Chief Executive Officer of Verena Minerals Corporation, a minerals exploration company with a focus on precious metal properties in Brazil (currently Belo Sun Mining Corp.). Mr. Shefsky holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, a Master of Science Degree in Urban Planning from Columbia University and a Juris Doctor Degree from Pepperdine University School of Law.
