Service Jockey Is the Only Online Service Marketplace Offering Cash Rewards
(firmenpresse) - MESA, AZ -- (Marketwire) -- 07/28/11 -- Two Valley entrepreneurs, Jacob Rash and Richard Simon, are introducing a new online platform, ServiceJockey.com, offering consumers both cash and quotes to shop its pre-qualified service providers in the home and insurance service industries. Service Jockey is the only online service marketplace of its kind that pays people for the opportunity to compete for their business.
Millions of bargain-savvy, web-literate consumers are taking to the Internet to find great deals and referrals on a wide range of services. There are a number of websites where people can fill out online forms to get quotes on all types of services. Knowingly or unknowingly, their information or "service lead" becomes a hot commodity and may get sold to handfuls of service companies. These companies pay big bucks to get this consumer's information and provide them with a quote. In 2010, Internet lead generation revenues were $1.3 billion, according to the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB).

Customers submit a request on ServiceJockey.com in one of the delineated home and insurance service categories. The anonymous Quote Request is emailed to qualified service providers for a buy-it-now price. The first four service providers, and only up to four service providers, to purchase the Quote Request earn the right to contact the customer and compete for his or her business. Once a service provider has been selected and the service has been provided, the customer is required to fill out a short questionnaire on each of the vendors who competed for their business. Next, it's time to get paid. Regardless of which service provider is selected, the customer gets paid on all competing service providers. Service Jockey takes half of the fees to keep the website running and the customer keeps the rest. It's that simple.

Currently, Service Jockey is only available to consumers in Arizona. A national launch is planned for late 2011.
