Bank of the James Names Thomas Rea President of Bank's Shenandoah Valley Office
10-Year Banking Veteran to Lead Expansion Efforts in Harrisonburg
(firmenpresse) - LYNCHBURG, VA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/27/15 -- Thomas D. Rea has joined Bank of the James (NASDAQ: BOTJ) as President of the bank's Shenandoah Valley office. He assumed this position on April 15, 2015.
Mr. Rea joins Bank of the James with ten years of banking experience. Most recently he was associated with First Bank & Trust in Harrisonburg where he served as Vice President and Commercial Relationship Manager for the Harrisonburg market.
Mr. Rea received a Master in Business Administration from James Madison University in 2007 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Mr. Rea is active in the Harrisonburg community and serves on numerous committees and boards for the Harrisonburg Rockingham Chamber of Commerce, James Madison University College of Business, Rotary Club of Rockingham County, United Way of Harrisonburg & Rockingham County, Valley Business Keynote and numerous other worthy organizations.
Bank of the James, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of the James Financial Group, Inc. serves the greater Lynchburg, Virginia, MSA, often referred to as Region 2000 and other markets in and around Central Virginia. The bank announced in early January 2015 that it has purchased a bank building in southwest Harrisonburg, Virginia and plans to open a full service banking office in 2015.
