Opal Energy Appoints New Director and Officer and Grants Stock Options
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/29/15 -- Opal Energy Corp. (the "Company" or "Opal") (TSX VENTURE: OPA) is pleased to announce that, subject to approval of the TSX Venture Exchange, Mr. Wayne Tisdale has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Company. Mr. Tisdale has over 35 years of experience in resource financing, exploration and development. He runs his own merchant banking company and sits on the Board of Directors of a number of private and public companies including Declan Resources Inc. and Kerr Mines Inc.
The Company also announces that Emma Nicholson and Jamie Newall have resigned from the Board of Directors to focus on their other business interests. Mr. Newall has also resigned as President and Chief Executive Officer. Opal would like to thank Ms. Nicholson and Mr. Newall for their services to the Company and wishes them the best in their future endeavours. Mr. Wayne Tisdale will assume the role of interim President and Chief Executive Officer.
The Board of Directors of Opal is now comprised of David Hughes, Michael Curtis, Gerald Tuskey, Brandon Boddy and Wayne Tisdale.
Opal further announces that it has granted stock options to acquire up to 850,000 common shares of the Company of which an aggregate of 600,000 were granted to certain directors and officers of the Company. Each of the stock options is exercisable for a five year term expiring on April 29, 2020 and exercisable until that time at a price of $0.10 per common share. The options vest immediately upon the date of grant. The stock options, and any common shares issued upon exercise of the stock options, are subject to a four month resale restriction expiring August 30, 2015.
