TSANet Appoints New Board Member
Board of Director Position Filled by Doug D. Jones, NetApp
(firmenpresse) - OVERLAND PARK, KS -- (Marketwired) -- 05/07/15 -- TSANet (Technical Support Alliance Network), the industry's largest vendor-neutral support alliance, announced that Doug D. Jones, Sr. Manager of Solutions and Tools Readiness at NetApp was elected to the TSANet Board of Directors.

Board members provide a critical path to keeping TSANet a relevant tool via guidance and the approval of new programs. NetApp has been a long-term member of TSANet and one that utilizes TSANet in multiple areas including strategic Custom Groups such as FlexPod. Doug will bring both strategic discussion with a pragmatic view of TSANet, and he will be a great asset to the leadership of TSANet," said Dennis Smeltzer, TSANet president.
Doug currently works at NetApp, where he is a senior manager within their Customer Support organization, focusing on solutions readiness. In this particular role, Doug is responsible for ensuring that not only the solutions (primarily multi-product/multi-vendor in nature) themselves are ready for release, but also for making sure that the support model/processes selected for those solutions are ready as well. With a degree in Computer Science from Florida Atlantic University and an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, Doug brings an interesting mix of engineering knowledge and business acumen to the table.
Doug joins the existing board members: Ted Williams (Red Hat), Mark Mueller (Microsoft), Pamela Fowler (Actian), Jason Veit (Symantec), Jim Rubish (IBM), René Karel (VMware), Uwe Schaefer (Hewlett-Packard Company), Jim West (Citrix Systems), Melissa Kaleskas (EMC), and Jeff Zirker (Cisco).
