RIB Software AG: Optimistic Forecast for 2011 in Spite of Budget Shortfall
in First Half of the Year
Stuttgart, 29 July 2011 - In the first half of 2011, RIB Software AG
achieved an anticipated overall turnover of 16.5 million Euro (previous
year 18.9 million Euro) and an anticipated unaudited result before tax of
4.1 million Euro (previous year 7.2 million Euro). These figures exclude
the cost of the IPO (3.7 million Euro) and exchange rate effects associated
with the reporting date. The company had planned to achieve a result at the
previous year's level.
This is mainly due to the fact that the large national and international
licence contracts planned for 2011 could not be recognised as earnings in
Q2. Due to the growing demand for iTWO(R) Business Suite (integrated 5D
software for the construction industry), the Board of Directors expects a
significantly stronger second half of 2011.
An investor and analyst conference will be held today 29 July 2011 at 9:30
CET.
RIB Software AG is an innovative international software company that
develops and sells integrated project management software solutions for the
construction industry. In October 2009, the company launched the German
version of its flagship product RIB iTWO(R) business suite, its new
software solution for digital construction, enabling virtual planning
combined with cost and time control and simulation of manufacturing and
maintenance processes. In 2010, it launched the English version and the
Chinese version. RIB iTWO(R) business suite has been developed in research
centres in Stuttgart and China. The company is continuing to invest in
promising future technologies such as cloud computing which involve open
platforms for e-commerce and services as well as price and product
databases.
