Voting Results From SEMAFO Inc.'s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders

(firmenpresse) - MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwired) -- 05/15/15 -- SEMAFO (TSX: SMF)(OMX: SMF) reported the voting results from its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders held on Thursday, May 14, 2015. A total of 223,064,701 common shares or 80.11% of our issued and outstanding common shares were represented in person or by proxy at the meeting.

Shareholders voted in favour of all items of business, including election of each director nominee by a majority of the votes cast as follows:

Additionally, the proposal to appoint PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as the auditors of the Corporation was approved:

Finally, an advisory resolution on the Corporation's approach to executive compensation was approved.
