As of 1 July 2015, ÅF has a new organisation that will provide our customers
with an even clearer offering, while at the same time enhancing internal
efficiency.
The changes will only affect the Industry and Technology divisions. They are, in
brief:
The Technology Division will be streamlined to form an operation with a focus on
digitalisation and the connected world. At the heart of the division will be
advanced systems development and IT, to develop and link systems, products and
society as a whole. The division will have around 1,100 employees in Sweden,
with the biggest customers in Telecoms, Automotive, Defence and Agencies and
Authorities. Viktor Svensson, ÅF's former Executive Vice President of Group
Sales & Marketing, will head up the division starting today. Viktor Svensson has
been a member of ÅF's Group management for more than 12 years.
Meanwhile the Industry Division will be reinforced with two complementary areas
from the Technology Division: our industry-leading product engineering
operations in the Nordics (around 900 employees), and the recently acquired ÅF-
Leannova (around 230 employees), with comprehensive expertise within vehicle
development. The new division will have a total of approximately 3,300
employees. Product development and production will become increasingly
integrated and the change will give the Industry Division a more extensive
offering. The reorganisation will create an even more competitive project and
engineering partner for industry. Per Magnusson will remain head of the
division.
As part of the reorganisation, CFO Stefan Johansson will head up investor
relations and step in as acting head of corporate sales.
