Certification Confirms Altiscale's Commitment to Providing a Secure, Highly Available Hadoop Service

This certification covers Altiscale's entire cloud service offering.
As an SSAE-16 SOC 2 compliant company, Altiscale has demonstrated its strong commitment to providing a secure, highly available, cloud-based Hadoop service to its customers. The SSAE-16 SOC 2 audit is the most widely recognized certification that service providers can receive. It indicates that the service organization's operations have undergone an in-depth examination of its controls covering its systems, processes, and policies.
The Altiscale SOC 2 audit examined its systems and practices, including data access controls, security monitoring, change management, incident response, risk management, and engineering and design activities. All of these were certified to meet the requirements of the SSAE-16 SOC 2 Common Criteria and the special controls for Security and Availability.
