Choate Investment Advisors Named to Forbes Magazine's 2015 "Top 100 Wealth Managers" List
(firmenpresse) - BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/27/15 -- has been named by Forbes magazine as one of the "Top 100 Wealth Managers," ranking #41 among the leading Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) in the nation, based on total assets under management. For the first time this year, Forbes expanded the list to include 100 firms, reflecting the growth in the RIA channel. Choate was one of only four Boston firms that made the top 50 firms on the list, and posted the largest increase -- 10 percent -- in assets under management among the four firms.

Forbes identified its "Top 100 Wealth Managers" through a partnership with the web-based financial advisory and registered rep tracker RIA Database, which compiled this year's list based on total assets under management for year-end 2014. The list includes both fee-only advisors and hybrid broker-dealer firms. Members of the list must have managed at least 50 percent of their assets on behalf of retail clients, cannot run a broker-dealer (they can be affiliated with one), cannot be a bank (trust companies are permitted), and must be performing wealth management services.
