Almas Jiwani will be appearing as a guest of honor to kick off GIRL TALK Empowerment Day in Oshawa, ONT on Wednesday, June 3rd.
GIRL TALK Empowerment Day hosts girls from all over Ontario to join the discussion on gender equality by taking local perspectives to a global level. Ms. Jiwani will be joining in this forum and will share special message of gender equality with the group.
"It is very important that the girls realize that they aren't just the future leaders, they're the present leaders and that their voices matter," explains Almas Jiwani. "The things they do now can have a tremendous positive impact to change the world. The fact that we can unite our girls and seek their engagement and participation in empowerment is the reality we need to strive to cultivate a new generation female leaders" said Almas Jiwani.

GIRL TALK Empowerment Day is a one-day pep rally that unites girls ages 11-18+ from across Southern Ontario and empowers them to make their mark on the world. The day features musical performances, celebrity guests, motivational talks and an interactive lunch marketplace that centers on the themes of: self-esteem, body image, leadership, volunteerism and what it means to be a global citizen.
