Capital Power Announces Board Appointment

(firmenpresse) - EDMONTON, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/03/15 -- Donald Lowry, Chairman of the Board for Capital Power Corporation (TSX: CPX) (Capital Power or the Company) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kelly Huntington to the Company's Board of Directors effective today.

Ms. Huntington will stand for election along with , who was also recently appointed, at Capital Power's next annual meeting of shareholders. As of the date of this news release, Capital Power's Board of Directors consists of 10 directors, 9 of whom are independent.

Ms. Huntington is the President and Chief Executive Officer for Indianapolis Power & Light Company (IPL), a position she has held since 2013, and is a Board member for the company. Previously, she was the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at IPL. Ms. Huntington holds a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, a Bachelor of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.
