Combined solution enables solar cell manufacturers to achieve maximum cell wattage and ensure consistent line performance
Montpellier, France and North Vancouver, BC, Canada, June 11, 2015 -Aurora Solar Technologies Inc. (Aurora), a leader in inline measurement and control technology for the photovoltaic manufacturing industry, and the SEMCO Group (SEMCO) announce that they have entered into a strategic partnership to provide solar cell manufacturers with an integrated quality control solution to maximize yield and profitability for high-efficiency cell fabrication.
The partnership combines Auroras VeritasTM and DecimaTM with SEMCOs LYDOPTM and LYTOXTM ultra-high capacity horizontal diffusion and annealing furnaces. The benefit of this offering will be a simplified capability for manufacturers to observe, control and optimize key parameters in cell fabrication for high yield and reduced product binning costs. These outcomes are critical for profitability in the highly competitive solar cell manufacturing industry.
As part of the partnership, Auroras Decima and Veritas products will be installed and used for cell fabrication and customer demonstrations in SEMCOs IrySolar photovoltaic fabrication facility and laboratory.
SEMCO provides high-throughput emitter diffusion and annealing furnaces to quality discerning cell producers worldwide, and we continue to achieve new growth milestones in installations and advancements in technology.
