Transmode appoints telecoms industry expert Torbjörn Nilsson as new board member

STOCKHOLM, Sweden - August 25, 2010 - Transmode, a leading provider of optical
networking solutions, today announced that the internationally recognized
telecoms industry expert, Mr. Torbjörn Nilsson, has been appointed as a new
board member.
Mr. Nilsson joins the Transmode board at a time when Transmode is enjoying a
sustained period of growth in terms of customer wins, product development and
general business improvement. His areas of expertise include mobile / wireless
communications equipment (from 1G to 4G), fixed communications equipment,
broadband / Internet and related services.
He has had several senior positions at Ericsson and the most recent was as Chief
Marketing & Strategy Officer as well as member of Ericsson's Corporate Group
Management Team (SVP) for about 10 years (between 1998 and 2007). His other
responsibilities included: managing Ericsson's product portfolio (standards and
intellectual property rights); marketing (the Ericsson brand); strategy (Mergers
& Acquisitions); business development and innovation (venture capital); and
public affairs. In that role, he has been very active in the international
standardization and regulatory work and is a well known and respected speaker
and industry professional.

TJN MediaCom, as well as an Executive Adviser across the convergent
Communications / Internet / Media industries. He is also active in several
company boards in Sweden.
The Transmode Board now consists of; Kent Sander (Chairman), Simon Cornwell
(Amadeus Capital Partners), Eva Lindqvist (Independent), Torbjörn Nilsson
(Independent) Tom Nyman (Pod Venture Partners), Alex Rogers (HarbourVest
Partners) and Gerd Tenzer (Independent).
