Martinrea International Inc. Holds Annual General Meeting
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 06/15/15 -- Martinrea International Inc. (TSX: MRE) ("Martinrea" or the "Company") a leader in the production of quality metal parts, assemblies and modules and fluid management systems focused primarily on the automotive sector, announced today the results of the election of directors at its annual general meeting, including the election of a new director, Pat D'Eramo.

Martinrea's shareholders elected Pat D'Eramo as a new director to the Board. Mr. D'Eramo joined the Company as President and Chief Executive Officer in November, 2014. Mr. D'Eramo has had a long and successful career in the automotive business, with extensive metalforming and parts manufacturing experience. He brings a deep and intricate knowledge of the automotive industry to the Board, and, as the Chief Executive Officer of the Company, has full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the Company's business in accordance with its strategic plan as approved by the Board.
Martinrea held an annual general meeting on June 11, 2015. The total number Common Shares of the Company represented in person or by proxy at the Meeting was 56,002,691, which represented 65.30% of the 85,756,283 Common Shares of the Corporation that were outstanding on May 7, 2015. Shareholders voted in favour of all items of business, including the election of each director nominee by a substantial majority as follows:
