(Wiesbaden) Because typical cell phone charging stations were too heavy and complicated for him, Majid Zahedi, a designer from Wiesbaden has developed its solution: the ONEDOCK for all. This light but stylish docking station still works even after changing the device and ensures a firm grip on almost all surfaces thanks to a smart construction. Starting on June 19th, the ONEDOCK for all can be pre-ordered in a wood or aluminum version on Kickstarter. Including an Apple Watch dock extension.

Many people regularly switch their Smartphone and thus also additional gadgets such as cell phone covers or chargers. After switching his mobile phone several times, young Majid Zahedi from Wiesbaden had enough of it. "With the purchase of every new device, I was also forced to buy a new charging station. Because every brand uses a different connector. Sometimes the connectors change, even with the same brands.", said the designer.
With the help of exchangeable cable adapter, all smartphone and tablet models can be connected to the ONEDOCK, and they can always be symmetrically positioned independently of the position of the charging socket. With a combination of a powerful suction cup and micro suction mats, it stands stable on nearly all surfaces and even remains mobile with less than 80 grams of weight. A padded aluminum bracket additionally ensures a safe back support. That way, smartphones or tablets can be connected or disconnected with only one hand as well as operated during the charging process without damaging the port (lightning, mini and micro USB, or 30-pin).
The crowd as an inspiration and brand ambassador
Because the opinion of customers plays an important role in the development of a consumer product such as ONEDOCK for all, the startup from Wiesbaden would like strike a new path in the field of marketing and online communication as well. That way, the fans and future buyers of digital communication channels are always involved in the development process and are introduced to the brand step by step.
They do not only have the opportunity to provide feedback for the product or a planned crowdfunding action on Facebook, but can also ask the creators questions at any time via WhatsApp. The crowd is always again actively involved, even offline. "Many of our fans are companions of the first hour, who provide valuable tips after they have seen and tested our charging station. The idea of an Apple watch extension came from a friend as well. ", commented Zahedi on the role of ONEDOCK fans.
Start of the serial production through crowdfunding
So, it is only logical that the team is launching a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter in the final phase of the product development to initiate the next stage of the serial production. Here, interested parties can support the project with small contributions and purchase an ONEDOCK before everyone else can. To facilitate the decision, the Wiesbaden team attracts with special early bird offers: the first 100 supporters get an ONEDOCK of their choice for a discounted price including early delivery.
Starting on June 19th, people that do not (only) want to financially support the project can contribute in another way and share and recommend the campaign page to preferred social networks with the hashtag #getonedock. As a thank you, Zahedi prepared several smaller videos for the crowd in which the four main advantages of the ONEDOCK for all are explained once more. The videos come in five languages and should motivate to the support the fans with a wink.
