ÅF wins hospital contract in Malmö

ÅF has signed a significant contract with Region Skåne for the development of
modern hospital facilities in Malmö. ÅF's contribution to the project will be
key expertise and the planning of technical installations in the hospital's new
central building. The order is valued at SEK 35 million.

Qvist, business area manager for ÅF's Infrastructure Division. "We have
considerable resources and key expertise when it comes to technically complex
systems in healthcare buildings. We're currently involved in most hospital
projects around Sweden, including the New Karolinska in Solna and Vrinnevi
Hospital in Norrköping."
Development of the Malmo hospital area includes a new main building of about
70,000 m2, provisional replacement premises, a new supply and maintenance
building, and new infrastructure in the form of transportation and technology
culverts. The new facility was designed with a focus on function: a sustainable
building that is flexible and can be adapted to future healthcare technologies
and practices.
