This celebration allows us to continue to honour the culture, traditional practices and community spirit of the region and its people."

-The Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages

"Our Government is pleased to invest in important festivals like this one, which increases the vitality of the region and ensures that residents and visitors alike have access to cultural programming that reflects British Columbia's rich history. I offer my congratulations to the Lytton River Festival, which has accomplished great things over the last 12 years."

-Mark Strahl, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development and Member of Parliament (Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon)

"The Lytton River Festival is a popular event that features the Peoples of the Rivers-the Thompson and Fraser-and the present and historic role they have played in the small community of Lytton. Without Canadian Heritage funding, it would have been almost impossible to develop the strong First Nations component that is integral to this family-oriented festival."
